I wanted to tell you about a fantastic concert coming up at 7.00pm on Saturday 6th October at St Edith’s Church - which I am organising. It’s a fundraising concert performed by the Warwickshire Choristers and Tim Campain (organ). Tickets are £8 adults and £5 children - if you would like tickets, please let me know on 01788 832851 (or reply to this email), or you can buy them on the door.
This is part of a whole weekend of flower, harvest flower and heritage activities during 6th and 7th October at St Edith’s Church. Between 10am and 5pm each day, come and see our wonderful flower festival with displays made by local residents and community groups. Entrance is free, but we are asking for donations to help raise funds.
On Saturday 6th October between 1.00-3.30pm it's our heritage afternoon. Climb the tower to see the view, have a go at bell-ringing, see the fully restored 18th century bequest plaque and photos of the historic silverware, explore the church with our family heritage trail and take part in our family stained glass windows activity around the church. This will culminate in the official presentation of the Heritage Tile Panels at 3.30pm on the Saturday - do come along and find the file you made last year as part of our 940th anniversary celebrations, or spot ones your friends made.
Lastly, come and join our traditional Harvest Festival service at 6.30pm on Sunday 7th October.
Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend.
Please do tell all your family and friends about these events.
I look forward to seeing you there!
